Introduction/MIE Mission

Media In Education (MIE) is committed to supporting literacy efforts and increasing access to technology by providing no-cost resources for teachers. Services include school newspaper delivery, teaching materials and funding for classroom technology.

Tech Grant Program

MIE encourages the daily practice of online reading, research and learning, and will provide funding that supports classroom use of technology. Technology grants will be provided to support teachers with students most at risk of failing to meet State standards.

We thank our many generous readers who support Arizona students through Vacation Donation and subscriber billing donations. These dollars help provide school newspapers, teacher resources and funding for classroom technology. Your generosity directly benefits our state's young learners and their teachers.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be certified teachers at a public elementary or secondary school in Arizona (including charter schools).
• Teach in a school that has a minimum of 65% of its students in a free or reduced lunch program. Click here to access free/reduced lunch reports for Arizona schools. Use the most recent report to find your school's percentage.
• Explain how the money will be used and why it will increase student access to and use of online news sources and web-based learning opportunities.
• Explain how the daily practice of online reading, research and learning will increase student achievement.
