Gulf Coast States React To Growing Cases Of Zika Virus

There are now over 50 confirmed cases of the Zika virus here in the U.S. But a lot of the cases are located in just two states: Texas and Florida. Experts fear states along the Gulf Coast could be especially at risk for a more explosive outbreak because of the region's warm climate.

Class discussion: What is the Zika virus? What are the dangers of the virus? How is it transmitted? Where has the Zika virus been reported? What are public health officials telling people to do about the virus? Are you concerned about the spread of the virus? Why or why not?
