Activities:
1. Draw a mummy that can stand and walk. Paste five newspaper words or pictures for items to bring luck to your mummy on your drawing – items that would have great meaning for your mummy.
2. Now write a brief story about the mummy your drew. Share your story with friends .
3. Look for movies in the entertainment section of the newspaper. Rewrite five titles including the word “mummy.”
4. How are these related to mummies: (a) resin, (b) King Tut, (c) natron and (d) sarcophagus?
5. Pretend you are in charge of designing a room in a tomb for a modern “King Tut.” Paste newspaper pictures in your room – what would the modern king need for furniture, foods and entertainment?
